Your favourite Greek yoghurt and cucumber Tzatziki dip

The most classic of Greek appetizers. Tzatziki, made with just plain Greek yoghurt, cucumber and seasoning, or varied with mint and dill to compliment different flavours.

What you need

  • Medium to large tub of authentic Greek yoghurt
  • one cucumber
  • dill/mint, if you fancy
  • garlic cloves
  • white wine vinegar/lemon juice
  • Geras Organic Olive Oil
  • Anthea's Fleur de Sel or salt

How you make it

Get all your ingredients ready. Grate the cucumber and squeeze it so that most of the moisture comes out and set aside. Finely chop or smash garlic cloves, depending to your taste 1-2. Finely chop the herb seasonings you've chosen. 

Combine your Greek yoghurt with the garlic cloves and a splash of extra virgin olive oil and vinegar or lemon juice to get the consistency you want for your dip. Season with salt.

Stir in the cucumber and herbs of your choice, you can also have it simply without dill or mint. Serve with warm pita bread or as a refreshing condiment for main dishes.
